1800s Mountain Man Rendezvous

At Wolly Hollow State Park

I don't know about any of you guys but one of my kids has a real passion for "surviving".
All this interest was peeked by the hit show "Survivor Man".
So with my kid so much in love with the idea I thought (as the awesome, wonderful mom
that I am :) hehe) I would take them to see what a mountain man had
to endure.

No there were no microwaves. No bathrooms with running waters and toliets.
No dishwashers (and I don't know about you but I'd just die without mine).
They had to make their own ropes, axes, clothing, and guns.
And of course SO much more.

Well we watched a chicken roast over an open fire, a lady weaving a rope or shaw
(I'm not sure which one it was). So many new but old ways of looking at
what we take for granted everyday.

My kids enjoyed themselves and learned many different things (as did I, ssshhh! don't tell).
