I don't know about ya'll but after being stuck inside the house from COLD weather...
I'm sure we would all enjoy some time out. So in spirit of getting out I thought I'd remind ya'll of a great play at the Arkansas Arts Center: Children's Theatre
The Children's Theatre has some great plays happening in 2014!
(info taken from www.arkarts.com)
First...
When the cows learn to type and fowl go on strike, Farmer
Brown must find a new way to get milk and eggs. Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That
Type is adapted from Doreen Cronin's original book with illustrator Betsey
Lewin.
To go along with a great children's play, Arkansas Arts Center has available also a Activity Guide to get your kids prepared for a great show. (To view activity guide simply click the above picture for link.)
Second...
In this familiar tale, a little shepherd boy is tired of
watching the flock of sheep all day and wants some excitement in his life. So
he decides to make things interesting by shouting for help from a wolf just for
his own amusement. The villagers come running, but discover that the little
shepherd boy has pulled the wool over their eyes. The Boy Who Cried Wolf is
written by Alan Keith Smith and is based on Aesop’s fable.
I don't know about you guys but when my kids were little (well to be completely honest it still happens!) they would definitely cry WOLF! I think this play might be the one we see this 2014 spring/summer. What better way to get the point of, "Don't cry WOLF!" than seeing it in real life! And to go along with this great play there is yet another activity guide to prep the kids. I guess I should note too, these activity guides are FREE on their website.
Last, but not least...
Decisions, decisions. I thought my mind was made up with The Boy Who Cried WOLF. But this next play that Arkansas Arts Center: Children's Theatre is putting on will make the girls go wild.
For years, the king and queen have wanted a child. So when
their sweet princess is finally born, they invite the entire kingdom with the
exception of one bad fairy. What follows in this classic tale of love, courage
and the triumph of good over evil is sure to leave audiences of all ages
feeling happily ever after. Sleeping Beauty is written by Alan Keith Smith and
is based on the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm.
There unfortunately is no activity guide available with this play. I'm guessing that most everyone knows the play so well already that they thought there was no need for it. :) However, if you feel that your child or children need an activity guide head on over to DLTK-Kids for great activities to go with Sleeping Beauty.

So with three Wonderful choices this spring/summer, what play would make your children so happy to be able to see?
